Diamond in the Rough: Chiaroscuro Graphic Painting using Adobe Draw

There are two elements at play here for me. 1.) I have always wanted to do a chiaroscuro painting but I decided to take a graphic painting approach instead of oil paint like the great Leonardo da Vinci or Carravagio. 2.) My challenge of being a "leaf drawer".

1. I love love the chiaroscuro style as I believe it provokes focus and conveys tone in a manner that can be aesthetically dramatic.

2. During my college years, one of my professors use to call me a "leaf drawer". What this means is, for example, if I were to draw a tree. Me drawing that tree would entail drawing every leaf and every blade of grass around the tree until it looks exactly like the said tree. A line for me is never straight enough and circles aren't circular enough. So instead of focusing on the precision of lines, I went with these flowy, curvy lines and let them interact and flow with each other to create hard and soft edges. Then to do the hair I used the stippling technique which deterred me from drawing each strand of hair.
